Headed to Chicago later this month
I'm headed to Chicago later this month for the Day Software Ignite Summit 2009.
I was in Chicago last year for NNg UX week. This also happened to be the day that President Obama won the election.
I'm excited to go back even if just for a short visit. I'm fascinated by big cities and big buildings.The tallest building in Utah is the LDS Church Office Building at a mere 28 stories.
I have a pretty full agenda and probably won't have much time to see much. But I do need to make time one night to see 'The Ledge' at the Willis Tower Skydeck observatory with the glass bottom overlook. I also still think it's stupid that they renamed the Sears Tower.
I stumbled upon these 2 YouTube videos while checking out the area on the net. I love old 'newsreel' footage. The availability of information was so different back then. These might have been a travelers only insight into a desination before actually getting there.
A search for "chicago" today on Google returns over 309,000,000 resulte in 0.09 seconds. No movie theater required.
